Symphony of the Mountainskicks off its 2024-2025 season withRevisiting the Great Classics, an evening of beloved orchestral works that have stood the test of time. From the dramatic allure of Bizet’s "Carmen Suite"to the vibrant streets of Gershwin’s "An American in Paris"and the slow-building intensity of Ravel’s "Boléro," this concert will immerse audiences in music that has become the soundtrack of generations.

Adding to the excitement, audience members are invited to attend a specialpre-concert discussion at 6 p.m.This engaging presentation will explore the historical and cultural significance of the French compositions featured in the program, as well as the profound ties and lasting impact of the French-American alliance.

The concert is held Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. in theToy F. Reid Eastman Employee Center, Kingsport, Tennessee.
