ABINGDON, Va. - The Barter Players (Barter Theatre's acting company for young audiences) brought three creative children on stage before the last performance of The Reluctant Dragon on Saturday, August 6, 2011.
The children were chosen as the 2011 winners of the ninth annual Barter Players Summer Coloring Contest.
Taylor Rayne Farley (age 9-12 category), Matthew Gerard (age 6-8) and Kailena Ford (5 and under) received special prizes including free tickets to the Saturday performance, onstage recognition, and a photo taken with the cast of The Reluctant Dragon.
Every year during the Virginia Highlands Festival, The Barter Players invite children up to 12 years of age to participate in the coloring contest. No purchase is necessary to enter.
