The Lincoln Theatre hosts a community theater performance interest meeting Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 6 p.m.
Appalachian Echoes highlights and empowers creative voices in Southwest Virginia. and is responsible for organizing and promoting the community theater.
Director Hannah Combs anticipates this project will nurture a love of performance in our area. “I wanted to make this project happen because of my own love for theater. My organization and I hope that we can come together as a community to make this performance truly special.”
“The Mousetrap” by Agatha Christie is a murder mystery riddled with wit andpalpable paranoia. A cast of eight well-defined characters with roles of varying activity levels are needed to bring this riveting story to life. Anyone interested in all kinds of roles, from acting to doing the vital stagehand work necessary to make any performance successful, is encouraged to attend. No registration is required. Rehearsal and performance schedules are to be determined at a later date. The anticipated performances of “The Mousetrap” will occur in March 2025.
