Create Appalachia announces the launch of its Avante Creative Entrepreneur Bootcamp, a new program designed to help creatives across Appalachia build sustainable businesses around their talents.
Across the region, artists, designers, makers, digital creators and culinary entrepreneurs contribute cultural value and economic activity — but many struggle to turn creative work into stable income. Traditional business education often assumes predictable revenue and conventional career paths, leaving creatives without tools that match how their work happens.
Launching in March, the bootcamp offers a structured learning experience focused on practical business fundamentals for creative professionals. Participants learn how to price their work with confidence, understand core finance and marketing concepts, connect with customers, pitch their ideas authentically and develop business models that support long-term sustainability.
Based in Kingsport, Tennessee, Create Appalachia serves communities across East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Western North Carolina and Southeastern Kentucky, working at the intersection of arts, workforce development and economic resilience. The Avante Creative Entrepreneur Bootcamp is open to creatives with an existing business, a side hustle or a serious idea they are ready to develop into a sustainable livelihood.
