JOHNSON CITY, TN – The Council for Advancement and Support of Education® (CASE) recently presented Special Merit Award to East Tennessee State University for Now & Then: The Appalachian Magazine, produced by the Center for Appalachian Studies and Services (CASS) and the Division of University Relations.
Published twice each year, Now & Then features articles, personal essays, poetry, fiction, and photography related to Appalachia – the mountain region that extends from northern Mississippi to southern New York state.
Fred Sauceman, Executive Assistant to the President for University Relations at ETSU, serves as editor, and Randy Sanders, coordinator of marketing and public relations for CASS, is managing editor for Now & Then.
