JOHNSON CITY, TN - Thirteen Tennesseans have been awarded Individual Artist Fellowships by the Tennessee Arts Commission for Fiscal Year 2012.
Designed to recognize outstanding professional artists who live and work in Tennessee, each fellowship is $5,000. The fellowships are awarded in the disciplines of literary arts, performing arts, and visual (art, craft and media).
Recipients in the visual arts category include Anna Kathryn Kell, who is currently a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Art and Design at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. She also serves as an adjunct assistant professor in the School of Art and Art History at the University of Florida (online MA in Art Education).
She received her Master of Fine Arts from the School of Art and History from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (Cum Laude). She has participated in many exhibitions, public lectures, and panels.
