About the gallery:
Impressions Fine Art in downtown Kingsport, Tennessee, is a co-op group of artists showing a variety of local and regional art from the Appalachian Highlands region. The gallery has been in operation since 2018 and is entirely run by participating local artists, so you have the chance to speak to one of the artists at the time of your visit.They also have workshops and individual lessonsfor kids and adults. The gallery is usually open late the first Thursday of the month, during an opening reception for the featured artist of the month. The featuredartist is sometimes a guest artist from outside the gallery, and sometimes one of the gallery’s members.
Artists represented include Richele Baburina, Barbara Bell, Ryan Blosser, Linda Campbell, Robert Casper, Joyce Ciccarello,John Edgell, Dianne Horton, Marion Finucane,Barbara Jernigan, John McKitrick, Jacqueline Murdaugh, Charlie Peters, Candace Sass, Lee Stone, Anne Thwaites, David Turner,Ann Vachon, Christy Ward, Jane Wyatt and Joseph Zoeller.
In addition to these artists, they also have several jewelry artists: William Stephanos, Buzz Coren, Linore Huss and Dianna Walker
They sell everything from large acrylic landscape paintings to mosaic trinket boxes. The gallery has traditional, realistic watercolor still life paintings and abstract oil and cold wax paintings. They have earrings, beaded animal figures, landscape photographs, utilitarian pottery and ceramic wall hangings. Smaller gift items include jewelry, miniature watercolors, scarves,mosaic hearts and crosses, and hand painted nesting dolls. They also offer handmade wood cutting boards, andgreeting cards and prints.
The gallery is open Sunday Dec 1, from 2-4 p.m. for Linda Campbell’s Art Exhibition: The Celebration in Watercolor and Photographs of Our National Parks.
