Jake Hoot joins Symphony of the Mountains for All-American three-city legacy tour

June 29, 2026

Symphony of the Mountains presents All-American Legacy, a special three-city concert tour featuring Jake Hoot, winner of Season 17 of “The Voice” and champion of “The Voice: Battle of Champions” in Season 29.

This collaboration brings together symphonic music, country storytelling and patriotic favorites in a celebration of America’s musical traditions and Appalachian heritage.

The tour visits three communities across the Appalachian Highlands. They perform July 17 at 7:30 p.m., at Appalachian Ski Mountain, Blowing Rock, North Carolina; July 18 at 7 p.m., at Allandale Mansion, Kingsport, Tennessee; and July 19 at 3 p.m., at David J. Prior Convocation Center, Wise, Virginia.

Under the direction of Music Director Cornelia Laemmli Orth, Symphony of the Mountains opens each evening with a patriotic orchestral celebration featuring beloved American favorites including The “Star-Spangled Banner,” music from “The Patriot,” “Orange Blossom Special,” “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America.”

Following intermission, Hoot and special guests join the orchestra for an unforgettable performance featuring orchestrated versions of audience favorites including “Tennessee Strong,” “Spirit of the Mountain,” “Love Out of Time,” “Better Off Without You” and more.

This concert marks a milestone in Hoot’s career as it is the first time he has performed with a full symphony orchestra and the first time his original music has been arranged and presented with orchestral accompaniment. The collaboration offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience Hoot’s music in a powerful new way while celebrating the values of family, resilience and community that are woven throughout his songs.

Known for his warm stage presence and authentic connection with audiences, Hoot has built a devoted following since winning “The Voice.” His blend of country, Americana and heartfelt storytelling makes him a natural fit for this special musical partnership with Symphony of the Mountains.

Ticket information varies by venue. Tickets for the Blowing Rock performance are available through Appalachian Ski Mountain. The Kingsport performance at Allandale Mansion will feature a Pay What You Can ticket model, making the concert accessible to all members of the community. Admission to the Wise, Virginia, performance is free and open to the public. Tickets for the Kingsport concert are available through the Linktree located in Symphony of the Mountains’ Facebook and Instagram bios.
