Jan-Carol Publishing Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, announces its sales for 2021 were strong and the recognized book press accepted a goal breaking number of new authors in 2021. New goals are positioned for continued success in the 2022 year.
Jan-Carol Publishing began as the small publisher of Voice Magazine for Women, the first women’s magazine of its kind in the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia region. In 2012 Jan-Carol Publishing purchased a small book press, and then a second press in 2013. After growing to close to 400 titles, Jan-Carol Publishing represents a motivated coalition of authors.
“From all backgrounds and all regions, our authors are talented writers,” said JCP business owner, Janie C Jessee. “We work with each one of our authors through the entire book publishing process. And working with talented authors with a vision for the books creates a pathway for success for all of us.”
JCP plans for 2022 include creating a new buzz for their backlist titles as well as focusing on new titles. “We have been publishing books for almost nine years now, and some of our titles are being overshadowed with new titles. We will be working with our backlist titles as well as new authors this year,” stated Jessee. “Having so many new marketing ideas on the horizon, we are excited about what the new year will bring.”
Jan-Carol Publishing’s company model takes tools of hybrid publishing and builds into a traditional publishing company. JCP bookshelves include fiction, science-fiction, self-help, cozy mysteries, romance, historical fiction, children’s books and more. From Appalachian themed stories with the imprint of Mountain Girl Press, to children’s books under the imprint Skippy Creek, JCP continues to grow.
