JOHNSON CITY – Starting Monday, Dec. 21, Johnson City Public Library is adding hoopla digital, the popular content streaming service, to its digital offerings. Library cardholders have free access to hoopla digital’s collection of over 850,000 ebooks, audiobooks, comics, movies, TV shows and music.
JCPL Director Julia Turpin is excited that the library is able to offer more free digital content to cardholders. “We have been thrilled by folks' excitement and interest in our digital collections, which have grown a lot in this last year. We wanted to give people even more digital options, and thanks to hoopla digital, we can.”
hoopla digital has pioneered a unique model in which library users do not have to place holds or wait for items to become available. All of hoopla digital’s content can be borrowed immediately, removing availability constraints and maximizing the power of digital content and distribution. JCPL cardholders will be able to borrow four items per month.
Content can be streamed from any computer, TV, or mobile device by downloading the hoopla digital app for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast or Roku. hoopla digital focuses on the latest browser, phone, tablet and TV products to deliver the best possible experience for library users.
hoopla digital’s collection includes fan favorite movies and TV shows, newly released albums, New York Times bestselling titles and educational content. All titles are available via the hoopla digital mobile app and online at www.hoopladigital.com.
