Join Birthplace of Country Music Museum for summer music workshops

June 29, 2020

BRISTOL, VA - This summer the Birthplace of Country Music Museum is hosting three music workshops.

These one-day workshops give participants of all ages the opportunity to hone their fiddle, guitar and banjo instrumental skills with an instructor by learning traditional songs from the museum's Pick Along Songbook. Depending on the workshop, attendees participate in other museum-related activities such as an exhibit tour/activity, creating a radio podcast, or exploring the art ofstorytelling with a focus on Jack Tales from Virginia.

These workshops have limited spots available, which means participants have a more intimate learning environment tailored to them and their skill sets.

Health and safety guidelines will be followed to protect all participants, staff, and volunteers.

Workshops are held July 20 for youth beginner, July 25 for all ages and July 28 for youth intermediate.

Registration is open. The cost is $75. Visit the museum’s website.
