The company is under the artistic direction of Leonid Flegmatov, former professional dancer, trained at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. Audiences experience some delightful surprise changes in the choreography, as well as select, new, professional tutus, made possible by the support of regional donors through Ballet and Bubbly events.
The performances feature a cast of more than 60 area dancers, as well as professional guest artists. The lead role of Princess Clara will be performed by senior company member, Anna Stephenson. Other key solo roles will be filled by the company’s senior members.
Clara’s Tea Party takes place Saturday, Dec. 14 from 5-6 p.m. Tickets must be purchased separately.
“This is a very popular production which sells out every year, so we encourage audiences to book their tickets early,” said executive director, Bertina Dew.
