Tennessee native Stephen Brown is the founder/designer of the Glitterville series for Department 56 collectibles, costume designer for Knoxville Opera, and creator of many costumes for film, television, and theatre. "La Boheme" is the story of young lovers in a colorful and free-spirited setting, paired with Puccini's magical melodies, has made "La Boheme" one of the most popular opera of all time. It is a powerful experience for anyone who's ever been in love- or wanted to be. One of the world's most celebrated love stories lights up the stage in a colorful, new production directed Knoxville's own Carroll Freeman. Laughter, tears, and enduring friendship combine to make "La Boheme" the perfect Valentine! There will be two performances on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 8p.m. and Sunday, February 11, 2:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Theatre.

"Carmen" is a timeless love triangle that never fails to capture the imagination of audiences of all generations. Passion and death are an inseparably bond in Bizet's fiery drama of two men's love for a gypsy girl. Performances of "Carmen" are on Friday, May 4, 8p.m. and Sunday, May 6, 2:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Theatre.
