Sharyn McCrumb
The Bristol Public Library welcomes New York Times best-selling author Sharyn McCrumb to Bristol Public Library Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. for a book discussion as part of its VA250 Community Read.
If you love Appalachian stories, this is an evening you won’t want to miss. McCrumb is best known for her beloved “Ballad” novels, and she’ll talk about her work and its deep connections to the history and culture of our region.
The library is giving away copies of McCrumb’s book “King’s Mountain” while supplies last.
The VA250 Community Read is part of a statewide initiative encouraging Virginians to ex-plore our shared heritage through literature as we mark the Commonwealth’s and America’s 250th anniversary. It is sponsored by the Bristol Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Library and Arts Alliance Mountain Empire.
This event is free and open to the public. No registration required — just bring your curiosity and a love of good stories.
