Two celebrated Emory & Henry College musicians take the stage Feb. 29 at 7:30 p.m., for their third collaboration with a nuanced and complex performance in the McGlothlin Center for the Arts.
Jessica Spafford, soprano, and Lisa Withers, pianist, begin their performance at 7:30 p.m. on the stage of the Kennedy-Reedy Theatre. Continuing a series of widely praised performances, the two musicians will present “Good Morning, Midnight,” which seeks to evince an appreciation of the brightness through existence.
In some cases, the featured works are coloratura displays, such as Mozart’s Queen of the Night’s aria, while other moments feature deeply personal explorations of one’s existence, as in Previn and other composers setting of poetry by Emily Dickinson.
Join them for an evening of both subtlety and flare — neither morning nor midnight.
Tickets for the event are $25 each. They may be purchased at the McGlothlin Center Box Office. For reservations call 276-944-6333 or visit www.ehc.edu/mca/tickets.
