NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- In order to fund additional research, the Tennessee Sampler Survey has just announced the availability of new and unique notecards.
Each full six card set includes images of three Tennessee samplers ? one from each region of the state. The notecards are available at local museums and needlework shops.
The Tennessee Sampler Survey was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 2004. The organization's mission is to document, preserve, and present Tennessee's textile heritage.
Research conducted by the organization includes documenting Tennessee samplers made prior to 1900. A sampler is an historical form of needlework, and the organization has now located 175 samplers.
