About the Gallery

The Generalist’s retail collective is an experiment in economic empowerment to shine a light on talented artists and makers in Appalachia. The owners, Lora and Bradley Eshbach, are a little bit obsessed with using capitalism against itself to raise the tide for all ships.

What does that look like? A General Store that addresses the day-to-day needs and wants of locals and visitors, their Specialty Shop features over 50 local artists, curators and makers. They also have a gallery/event space available for celebrations, experiences, pop-ups, club meetings, art shows or artist meetups.
