About the Gallery
The Generalist’s retail collective is an experiment in economic empowerment to shine a light on talented artists and makers in Appalachia. The owners are a little bit obsessed with using capitalism against itself to raise the tide for all ships.
What does that look like? A General Store that addresses the day-to-day needs and wants of locals and visitors; their Specialty Shop features over 90 local artists, curators and makers. They also have an event space available for celebrations, experiences, pop-ups, club meetings, art shows or artist meetups.
