The Kingsport Theatre Guild to hold Auditions for two productions

The Kingsport Theatre Guild has scheduled following auditions:

Auditions for the theater classic, Our Town, will be held Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 29 and 30, 7-8 pm in room 209 of the Renaissance Center. (You need only come one night.) There is a large cast of seven females, seventeen males, and extras of various ages.

The audition will consist of a cold reading from the script.

Please bring a list of potential conflicts of rehearsal dates/times. Rehearsals will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-9:30 pm. Tech Week is March 4-8, and the production opens Friday, March 9 at 8 pm and runs Saturday, March 10 at 8 pm and Sunday, Mar.11 at 3 pm.


for the musical All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, will be held Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 5 and 6, 6:00-7:00 pm. Flexible casting of men and women. Auditions will consist of a reading from the script (see below) and a song of your choice, performed acappella.

Please bring a list of potential conflicts of rehearsal dates/times.Those cast should be able to learn the music on their own. Rehearsal schedule: Mondays, 7-9 pm through Feb. 28. Mondays and Thursdays, beginning March 12, 7-9 pm; Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 2-19, 7-9 pm. Tech Week is April 13-19. Show opens Friday, April 20 at 8:00 pm and runs Saturday, April 21 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, April 22 at 3 pm.

Audition reading will be from the script pages found on pdf: www.dramaticpublishing.com. Look on the right hand side of the screen, scroll down to "Script Excerpts," then scroll through the "A's" to All I Really Need... This will give you a good sense of the play and its characters as well as the opening pages of the show.
