Big Head Todd and the Monsters, a platinum-selling blues-rock band, has performed over 3,500 times, including many sold out shows in amphitheaters and on the high seas. Their popularity has resulted in tens of millions of streams of their songs. The band has also beamed their music to outer space (literally) and earned the endorsement of people ranging from Robert Plant to The Denver Broncos.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters are known for bringing crowds together. As Todd says, “Music can cultivate community, even harmony. We need that.” The band cites the friendships formed in the crowd amongits proudest accomplishments.

Located in the heart of Marion’s vibrant downtown district, The Lincoln Theatre is a restored theater in the Mayan Revival style, offering year-round entertainment including live music, comedy events, diversity awareness programs, classic and independent film series, youth artistic camps, theatrical performances and more. Originally constructed in 1929 as a “movie palace,” the Lincoln has long been a community hub.

Now, the theater is perhaps most famous as the home of Song of the Mountains, an award-winning public television series showcasing the music and culture of the Southern Appalachians. On the first Saturday of each month, Song of the Mountains is taped live in downtown Marion, airing on PBS stations across the country. In addition to the flagship Song of the Mountains, The Lincoln Theatre offers live music throughout the year, from casual open mic nights to big-name bluegrass and country stars.
