The Lincoln Theatre hosts influential rock band Sister Hazel

July 25, 2022

Acclaimed alternative rock band Sister Hazel plays the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Virginia, Thursday Aug. 18. Tickets are on sale at thelincoln.org or (276) 783-6092.

Sister Hazel’s “All for You” topped the adult alternative charts during the summer of 1997 and the success propelled their album to platinum status. Since then, the band has become firmly established not only in rock and alternative music, but now in country with four back-to-back Billboard Top Country Albums Chart entries along with making their debut on the most revered stage in country music, the Grand Ole Opry.

Long known as the home venue for the bluegrass program “Song of the Mountains,” The Lincoln Theatre has spent the last two years expanding its musical horizons. In addition to the regular performance of Song of the Mountains Aug. 6 (always recorded live the first Saturday of each month), August also sees the Lincoln hosting contemporary Christian band Cumberland Thunder Aug. 13, and country music phenom Lorrie Morgan Aug. 20.

The historic Lincoln Theatre has been entertaining audiences since 1927. The famous venue has emerged from Covid-related shutdowns stronger than ever, more than tripling its nights of programming in 2022. In addition to the Song of the Mountains heritage music series, which records live the first Saturday of the month, The Lincoln Theatre offers numerous concerts, plays, comedy shows and children’s programming.
