'The Mockingbird Sings' auditions are held

Theatre Bristol, Bristol, Tennessee, holds auditions for “The Mockingbird Sings,” April 18 and 19, at its theater. Visit www.theatrebristol.org/audition for audition times, location, rehearsal schedule, performances, form, roles available and any updates.

“The Mockingbird Sings” weaves a story of love and the history of country music leading up to the recordings and discoveries of Jimmie Rodgers, Pops Stoneman, The Carter Family and many others. “The Mockingbird Sings” was written by Dr. Nancy Hamblen Acuff, Terry Harkleroad and Sharon Cort, and is directed by Barbara Walton and Susan McNabb.

Roles are available for men, women and children. Musicians are encouraged to audition, with speaking and nonspeaking roles available in addition to playing. Those interested in backstage roles may contact info@theatrebristol.org.
