Prepare to be enchanted by The Paramount Chamber Players’ “Nocturne,” a chamber music program filled with moonlight and atmosphere. Ernest Bloch’s “Three Nocturnes for Piano Trio” captivate you with melody and atmosphere alongside the Romantic depths of Faure’s Violin Sonata No. 1. Also on the program are familiar favorites for piano duet, and a special performance by the 2023 Bristol Music Club scholarship winner, Joshua Kova?.
This is the second installment of their 19th concert season, featuring Marianna Brickle on violin, Cherylonda Fitzgerald on cello and Katherine Benson at the piano. The ensemble is joined by international concert pianist Margaret Kim, hailing from Vienna, Austria.
The concert is presented four times. They perform at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 28 at First Presbyterian Church, Kingsport, Tennessee. The concert moves to Johnson City, Tennessee, March 1. The location will be announced on the Players’ website. March 2, the concert is held at First Presbyterian Church, Bristol, Tennessee, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to each of these concerts are $10 for adults; $12 for seniors. Students are admitted free. The concert in Abingdon, Virginia, is held at 3 p.m. in the Keyser-Aday Theater at Virginia Highlands Community College. Tickets to the concert are $10 for adults, and students admitted free.
