Theatre Bristol announces its 2022 children’s summer camp The StART of Adventure, running July 11-15 at 512 State Street, Bristol, Tennessee. After two years, Theatre Bristol brings back this popular camp for rising second graders through eighth graders, and one half-day camp for rising kindergartners and first graders. Campers will explore theaterand acting skills from talented and highly respected teachers and theaterveterans in the area. “We’re really excited to be able to continue our camp program,” said Seth Gilstrap, camp coordinator. Co-coordinator Zaiah Gray added, “We’re also very thankful to the professionals who will be teaching the campers valuable theatrical skills and knowledge.”
Guided by the Theatre Bristol Youth Service Board, campers will spend the week learning acting skills, creative movement, music, costuming, makeup design, set design, propsand more. At the end of the week, campers perform a demonstration of what they have learned for family and friends.
Camp runs Monday to Friday July 11-15, from 8a.m. to 3p.m. Registration is available online. The cost per camper is $150, with a family discount of each additional child reduced to $75.
