Theatre Bristol Presents 'Into the Woods'

Theatre Bristol presents “Into the Woods,” the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine award-winning Broadway musical at the Paramount Center for the Arts, Bristol, Tennessee, Nov. 15 - 24. Tickets are on sale at www.ParamountBristol.org.

Theatre Bristol veteran Glenn Patterson (“Fiddler on the Roof,” “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,” “The Music Man,” “Les Misérables,” “Scrooge! The Musical,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Miracle on 34th Street”) directs “Into the Woods.”

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. One of Sondheim’s most popular works, “Into the Woods” is a musically sophisticated show of dark comedy.

The cast includes Terry Marek as the Narrator, Lorrie Anderson as Cinderella, Will Oliver as Jack, Laura O’Bryan as Jack’s Mother, Nick Dennis as the Baker, Colleen Semones as the Baker’s Wife, Mary Ellis Rice as Cinderella’s Stepmother, Anna Kimerer as Florinda, Parker Dugger as Lucinda, Randy Callahan as Cinderella’s Father, Ava White as Little Red Riding Hood, Leslie Lockhart as the Witch, Martha Hawk as Cinderella’s Mother, Steve Baskett as the Mysterious Man, Laura Watson as Rapunzel, Ronnie Jenkins as Rapunzel’s Prince and the Wolf, James Francis as Cinderella’s Prince, Joey Collard as the Steward, Nicole Intagliata as the Giant, Faith Vance as Snow White and Enelisa Sutton as Sleeping Beauty.

Patterson is supported by assistant Leticia Peltzer, stage manager Nicole Intagliata, tech director Ken Cornett, music Jim Spirrup, assistant stage managers Cindi Brooks, David Maloney, Terra White, Ann Vance; costumers Lauren Isaacs and Gianna Gobble, master carpenter Steve Baskett, runners Devon White and Luke Gray, music operator Beverly Moody, set and stage crew Temmy Roberts, Andrew Hunt, Josh Click, Logan Smith, Gabe Canter, Bailey Lowe, Renee Hickman, Faith Vance, and Enelisa Sutton and producer Samantha Gray.

“Into the Woods” opens Nov. 15 and runs for two weekends at the Paramount Center for the Arts, Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m., closing on Nov. 24. Tickets are $16 for adults plus fees and $12 for seniors and students plus fees.
