The evening’s entertainment begins with excerpts of original choreography from Highlands Ballet’s repertoire – “Love & Purity,” “La Barre” and two new pieces choreographed by Jeffrey Rockland and Bruce Ewing. If you missed the Virginia Highlands Festival premiere of “The Wolf Crystal,” a presentation of this immersive theater experience is performed. In addition, the company presents a sneak preview of selected pieces from “The Nutcracker,” coming in December and pieces from “Magic Butterfly,” a collaboration with composer Evelyn Pursley-Kopitzke and the Paramount Chamber Players.
During the evening, patrons can bid on auction packages including trips, event tickets and other luxury items. Everyone can enjoy refreshments donated by award-winning local bakeries, restaurants and breweries.
