The second annual Holiday Market at The Martha presented by The Virginia Highlands Festival is held on the lawn of The Martha, Abingdon, Virginia, the weekends before during, and after Thanksgiving this year: Nov. 19, 20 and 21; Nov. 27, 27 and 28; and Dec. 3, 4 and 5. Hours are Fridays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vendor tents are spaced apart to allow for social distancing.
Abingdon is known as a holiday destination. Southern Living wrote, “If Frank Capra had made a Southern version of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ he might have set it in Abingdon, Virginia, with its tree-lined Main Street, scenic Blue Ridge setting, historic Martha Washington Inn & Spa, and legendary Barter Theatre.”

Shop handmade gifts and stocking stuffers from some of the very best fine art, master crafts, specialty/gourmet items, handmade jewelry, sculpture, glass and pottery vendors. Artisans from ‘Round the Mountain and Holston Mountain Artisans are also represented.
The Martha sparkles in her Christmas best with plenty of white lights, greenery and red bows Stroll through the decorated halls, shop at The Little Shop, and dine in Sister’s American Restaurant.
The adjacent lawn glows with vendor booths and sparks children’s imaginations and adults’ nostaligia with the largest private collection of Christmas inflatables in the Southeast.
