"Pick Me!" by Briana Morris won Best of Show in the 2010 Rhythm & Roots Photo Competition.
BRISTOL, TN/VA - College student Briana Morris's photo of a red pick on a guitar neck called "Pick Me!" won two awards at the Twin City Photo Club's third annual Rhythm & Roots Photo Competition: $150 for Best of Show and $25 for First Place in the "Altered Image" category.
The exhibition at 811 State Street showcased 240 entries in 11 categories. An estimated 1,000 people visited the show during the three-day music festival. The show was judged by three area professional photographers.
The Best of Bristol $125 award went to Matthew Mills for a night shot of the Bristol Train Station. In the Rhythm & Roots regular image category, Justin Wiseman's photo of a drummer won the $125 prize, while the Rhythm & Roots altered image winner was William Martin's treatment of a female fiddler.
