The Bill Perkins70 Year Retrospective Concert is heldOct.18, from 7-9 p.m. at Langston Center, Johnson City, Tennessee.
The musicians and vocalists are coming from Abingdon, Virginia, Kingsport, Tennessee, Johnson City, Tennessee and Deep Gap North Carolina. Theywill be playing music from several decades of Perkins'time in Johnson City. You can get a taste here atperkjazz.com.
This collection of musicians and vocalists has never appeared all together on one stage before and may never again. They include Tom Peterson, Alexi Leo, Glenn Diamond, Jason Carpenter, Sam West, Marion Edwards, Linda Barnett and Bill Perkins. The concert is free.
Langston Centre will provide table seating and lights snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. This is a free concert sponsored by Langston Education and Arts Development.
All donations will go towards music and the many valuable programs at the Centre.
