• FEB. 22:Invitational Choral Festival Concertis held in Seegar Chapel on the Milligan University campus, Johnson City, Tenn., at 6 p.m. This event brings together talented singers from local high schools along with the Milligan Concert Choir to perform “The Day of Allied Voices” by Appalachian composer Benjamin Dawson. The work, written to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, contains five movements of poetry, prose and scripture passages that offer a prayer for peace in troubled times.
