'Deep Listening' is on display

• JULY 3-26:Deep Listening,a group exhibition curated by Carla Taylor is on display at Fischman Gallery, Johnson City, Tenn. The exhibit features seven artists from Germany, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and the U.S. Through painting, drawing, installation, digital media, and mixed-media works, Deep Listening explores themes of attention, presence, memory, landscape, and our relationship to the natural world. Inspired by experiences in Iceland’s natural terrain, shaped by volcanic activity, glaciers, shifting weather, and extended periods of silence, the works reflect on geological time, perception, environmental awareness, and the transformative power of attentive observation. Participating artists include Paula Fraile (Spain), Vero Glezqui (Mexico), Bob Landstrom (United States), Katharina Langer (Germany), Montserrat Serra (Spain), Rachel Tanugi (Brazil), and Carla Taylor (United States).
