Marble City Opera performs

Marble City Opera presents a concert titled "Faith, Hopeand Love"Sunday, Sept. 8at 5:30 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 711 S. Northshore Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee. The performance is part of the Cathedral Concert Series. Free tickets are available via Eventbrite. Donations are welcome and will be accepted at the concert.

"Faith, Hope, and Love" features music from Puccini, Verdi, Bizet, Leoncavalloand others performed by soprano Kathryn Frady, accompanied by Brandon Coffer on piano, Lydia Schoen on oboeand Kelsey Bentley on French horn. All four artists recently performed in Marble City Opera’s production of "Il Tabarro."

The Cathedral Concert Series, a program of the Diocese of Knoxville Music Commission, is dedicated to providing the community with free or low-cost opportunities to experience local, regional, national, and international sacred and classical music ensembles. This will be the first time that Marble City Opera has presented a concert in the Cathedral.

Kathryn Frady, Marble City Opera’s Executive Artistic Director, said, “I have attended several concerts in the cathedral and I am very happy for the opportunity to perform in such a beautiful space.
