Symphony of the Mountains is on stage

"Beer, Brats, and Beethoven" breaks down the traditional barriers of the concert hall, creating an accessible and enjoyable experience where audiences can savor outstanding music alongside delicious brats and refreshing beverages. This event exemplifies Symphony of the Mountains' commitment to making classical music welcoming and engaging for the entire community. Both performances arefreefor unsheltered members of our communities.

Featuring:

• Georg Philipp Telemann's Overture in D:a Baroque masterwork that sets a celebratory tone for the afternoon.
• Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major, Op. 60: a radiant and exuberant work that showcases the composer at his most optimistic. Often overshadowed by its more famous companions, the Fourth Symphony dazzles with its wit, warmth, and infectious energy.
• A Live Polka Band: Adding to the festive atmosphere, a polka band composed of our musicians will perform, bringing lively rhythms and traditional favorites that perfectly complement the concert's spirit.

Beer, Brats, and Beethovenoffers something for everyone.The Paramount Theatrewill set the stage for a formal, intimate experience, accompanied by aPaths to Dignity Symposium immediately following the performance, featuring prominent figures from the community —including local leaders, advocates, service providers, and those with lived experience — coming together to discuss strategies for supporting our unsheltered population, sharing innovative approaches that address both immediate needs and long-term solutions while inspiring hope for meaningful change. There will be afreeGerman inspired meal for all in attendance that will be handed out after the performance, courtesy of Food City and Walmart.

The Kingsport Farmers Market performance gives you the chance to kick back and enjoy these classics in a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere. Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase beer, brats, and other German treats from Southwest Virginia restaurant,Oma’s Haus, and local favorite,Bays Mountain Brewing Company. Come dressed in your favorite Lederhosen for the chance to win a prize at the“Best Lederhosen” contest.
