The Tri-Star Wind Ensemble, a newly formed concert band sponsored by East Tennessee State University, perform June 15 at2 p.m., in the ETSU Martin Center for the Arts, Johnson City, Tennessee.

TheTri-Star Wind Ensembleis a concert band comprised of 60 woodwind, brass and percussion players, founded by Christian Zembower in June 2025. The Tri-Star Wind Ensemble is sponsored by East Tennessee State University and all members have a direct affiliation with the university as alumni, faculty, students or administrators. The ensemble was formed for the main purpose of performing classic, contemporary and new works from the concert band repertoire, with the express intent of bringing ETSU Bands alumni back together for a reunion atmosphere of music making, fellowship, with a culminating performance.

A vision and dream of Zembower’s for quite a while, this ensemble is a parallel of the Keystone Wind Ensemble, sponsored by the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Bands program, conducted by founding conductor, Jack Stamp. Zembower is a 1992 founding member of Keystone Winds, and the performing experience of this ensemble prompted him to decide to develop this experience for ETSU Bands alumni

No tickets are required, and the concert is free to the public.
