Theatre Bristol debuts productions at The Cameo Theatre

Theatre Bristol announces the cast of “Land of Jesters” and “Rumpelstiltskin” coming to stage April 19, 26, and 27, reprising the very first Theatre Bristol production when it was known as Bristol Children’s Theatre. These productions are also Theatre Bristol’s debut on the 100-year-old Cameo Theatre stage Bristol, Virginia. Tickets are available online at TheatreBristol.org/tickets. The 2025 cast reprise 1965 roles from “Land of Jesters” and “Rumpelstiltskin,” whimsical stories of colorful characters, topsy-turvy worlds, silly comedy and fairy tale lessons from another time by Pamela Prince Walker.

The “Land of Jesters” cast includes Bentley Forinash as Elf, Scarlett Todt as the Butcher, Marleina Turner as the Baker, Kiera Leonard as the Candlestick maker, Natalie Francois and Rylee Smith as Jesters, Carson Richards as the Jail Guard, Reece Hilt as the Lawyer, Lola Dew as Princess Lovely, Emma Cornett as Queen Snooty, and Reese Davis, Natalie Todt, Savannah Porter, Abby Cheek, Alice Boyd and Annaliese Proffitt as the Princesses.

The “Rumpelstiltskin” cast includes Kaden Walls as Rumpelstiltskin, Farris Lamie as Ho-Hum, Alice Boyd as Maidie, Carson Richards as the King, Marleina Turner as the Queen, Bentley Forinash as the Prince, Lucy Helvey as Mary Ann, Reece Hilt as the Miller, Scarlett Todt as the Newcomer, Emma Cornett as the Silk Merchant, Reese Davis as the Flower Girl, Maci Gammon as the Jester, and Annaliese Proffitt, Rylee Smith, Abby Cheek, Lola Dew, Natalie Todt, Natalie Francois, Kiera Leonard and Savannah Porter as the Townspeople.

Originally directed by Theatre Bristol veteran Cathy DeCaterina, Board President and veteran stage manager Ann Vance directs “Land of Jesters” and “Rumpelstiltskin” this year. Director Ann Vance is supported by stage manager Rachel Davis, assistant Camille Gray, costumers Katie Cheek and Lindsey Holderfield, lighting designer Albert Tester, set team Camille and Luke Gray, run crew Baleigh McKeehan and Carter Bresowar and producer Samantha Gray.

Specially priced tickets are $12, and $10 for seniors and students, and are available online and, pending available seating, at the door 30 minutes prior to showtime. Performances are Saturdays April 19 and 26, at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and on Sunday, April 27 at 2:30 p.m. Seating is general admission and for any special accommodations, call or email the theater. Theatre Bristol presents “Land of Jesters” and “Rumpelstiltskin” as part of its family-friendly 60th season of ARTspace, Cameo, and Paramount shows, including “Lessons from Shakespeare,” “Steel Magnolias,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “The Mockingbird Sings,” “The Odd Couple,” “White Christmas” and “Yes, Virginia There is a Santa Claus.”

Founded in 1965, Theatre Bristol is the oldest continually running children’s theater in Northeast Tennessee. Its Main Stage season consists of up to 10 productions.
