Elizabethton Community Theatreholds auditions for its upcoming production of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," adapted by Mary and Andrew Arnault from the classic story by Washington Irving.
Auditions are heldJuly 27 and 28, with performances scheduled forOct. 2 through 11, at the historic Bonnie Kate Theater in downtown Elizabethton.
Directed byBecky Edmisten, the production brings Washington Irving’s enduring American tale to the stage through a blend of mystery, folklore, humor, suspenseand theatrical storytelling.
Elizabethton Community Theatre is seeking performers of all ages and experience levels. Both returning actors and first-time performers are encouraged to audition.
The story follows Ichabod Crane, a superstitious schoolmaster whose pursuit of Katrina Van Tassel places him in conflict with local rival Brom Bones and face-to-face with the terrifying legend of the Headless Horseman.
