Discover the Shapes and Colors of Music

Acclaimed artist Ellen Elmes hosts a dynamic Youth Art & Music Workshop designed for young artists or aspiring creators ages third to fifth grade. The event is heldat 1 — 3 p.m., June 7,at theBirthplace of Country Music Museum, Bristol, Virginia. This engaging program offers participants the opportunity to explore their artistic talents through hands-on art exercises and live music.

"This is a very special workshop where participants allow the music to inspire their work, sparking creativity and artistic experimentation," said Museum Director Dr. Rene Rodgers. "We anticipate this event will sell out quickly so don't hesitate if you wish to register your children."

Ellen Elmes leads students through the creative process, guiding them to experiment with a variety of materials to visually interpret the shapes and colors of music. Singer-songwriter and Radio Bristol show host Ella Patrick will perform, offering a unique fusion of music and art to inspire the young artists.

All necessary art supplies are included in the registration fee of $20 (+tax/fee). Space is limited to 16 participants.

The workshop is part of the museum's complementary programming for the current exhibit, "Ellen Elmes: The Art of Music & Mountains," on display through Sept. 30.
