• APRIL 5:The Milligan Orchestraperform in Seeger Chapel on Milligan University campus, Johnson City, Tenn., at 7:30 p.m. The concert opens with thea cappellaensemble Heritage performing favorites from their repertoire of sacred pieces. Milligan’s Concert Choir follows with several selections, culminating with the first extended work by the contemporary composer Elaine Hagenberg called “Illuminare.” According to the composer, this piece uses sacred Latin, Greek and English texts to take listeners on a journey “through a season of beauty and goodness that has been disrupted by darkness and confusion.
