“Movies with a Mission” brings two family favorites to the Bonnie Kate Theater, Elizabethton, Tennessee, Sept. 5to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elizabethton/Carter County.
Families can see "The Incredibles"at 2 p.m., followed by "The Iron Giant"at 7 p.m.at the historic Bonnie Kate Theater in downtown Elizabethton.
“Movies with a Mission” is a program devoted to turning the Bonnie Kate’s big screen into a fundraising tool for non-profit organizations serving Carter County.
The theater will be working with community businesses whose sponsorships help cover film licensing, technical support, promotion and other screening expenses, with the goal of allowing100 percentof ticket sales to go directly to the organization being supported.
For theSept. 5screenings, that organization is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elizabethton/Carter County.
The club provides local young people with a safe place to learn, grow, build relationships and simply be kids. By buying a movie ticket, community members can enjoy an afternoon or evening at the Bonnie Kate while helping support that work here at home.
The Bonnie Kate invites businesses, organizations and individuals to help underwrite “Movies with a Mission” screenings.
Movies with a Mission is part of the Bonnie Kate Theater’s continuing effort to use arts and entertainment to strengthen the community it serves.
