Radio Bristol holds fundraising drive

BRISTOL, TN-VA-Radio Bristol is gearing up for its annualOn-Air Fund Drive, taking place May 13-14, inviting listeners and supporters to help sustain the station’s mission of amplifying the voices, musicand stories of Appalachia and beyond.

As a nonprofit, listener-supported station,Radio Bristolhas become a vital cultural hub for the region—connecting communities through music, storytellingand shared experiences. Its continued growth and impact are made possible by the generosity of its audience.

Listener contributions play a critical role in creating opportunities for emerging and established artists alike, expanding Radio Bristol’s reach while preserving the rich traditions that define the region’s sound.

During the On-Air Fund Drive, community members are encouraged to deepen their support by becoming sustaining members at the “Radio Bristol Record Breaker” level.

Record Breakers will receive an exclusive incentive package featuring a limited-edition10 Years of Radio Bristol’s Farm and Fun Time Vol. 2LP vinyl record, a t-shirt, and a premium sticker all featuring artwork by Brain Flower Designs. In addition, donors receive a one-year membership to the 1927 Society, which includes unlimited admission to the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, recognition on the donor wall, quarterly newsletters, six guest passes, and a Smithsonian Affiliate Reciprocal Membership (by request), access to purchase Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion tickets at the lowest available price based on donor level, and more.

10 Years of Radio Bristol’s Farm and Fun Time Vol. 2features performances from acclaimed artists including The Wood Brothers, Boy Golden, Scott McMicken of Dr. Dog, Colby T. Helmsand more. This limited-edition release is available exclusively as part of the Fund Drive incentive package. Looking ahead, Radio Bristol continues to build on the success of initiatives like the inaugural Record Expo and other community-driven events—creating new opportunities for musicdiscovery, education, and engagement. Radio Bristol Sessions have been reimagined through collaborations with local partners, bringing high-quality live performances to historic venues and downtown businesses throughout Bristol. Meanwhile,Radio Bristol’sFarm and Fun Time continues its national expansion, with episodes airing on public television stations across the country and future seasons in development.
