• SEPT. 9 — OCT. 23:A Hand-built Teapot and Tea Bowls workshopis held at William King Museum of Art, Abingdon, Va., at 7:30 p.m. Choose from two teapot templates and be guided through the process of building your teapot from slab clay. Then, add your own personal flair with textures, added design such as sculptural faces or flowers. You’ll also be shown how to make tea bowls to accompany your teapot, and time permitting, a tray to hold all your wares.
