The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park hosts its last 2025 “Lunch on the Lawn” summer music series Friday, Sept. 19, from 12 to 1 p.m., featuring The Timeless Strings Band.
The Timeless Strings Band is comprised of Richard Phillips, Jim Terrell and Roger Bays. Their music covers several genres including country, rock, folk and blues. They also perform several original tunes. Phillips and Terrell play guitar and sing while Bays adds textures with his mandolin. The Timeless Strings Band keep your feet tapping and your heart singing.
Park staff and volunteers have crafts and activities for children at each “Lunch on the Lawn” program.So, bring the whole family out, have some fun in the beautiful Victorian Garden and enjoy an afternoon of home-grown music and entertainment on thelawn of the museum.
The “Lunch on the Lawn” event is free and open to the public. Participants should bring their lunch.
