Pinnacle Award Winners Announced

KINGSPORT, TN -- On May 5, 2010, the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association announced winners of the 13th annual Pinnacle Awards during a ceremony at MeadowView Marriott in Kingsport. The Pinnacle Awards program pays tribute to individuals, businesses and organizations for exemplary quality and performance in tourism development and promotion.

In the Cultural Arts Division, Pinnacle Award winners are: Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion (Special Events) and Barter Theatre's 2009 season brochure ((Advertising & Promotions - Print) and The Wizard of Oz (Special Projects).

In the Heritage Tourism category, a Pinnacle Award went to William King Museum's "Matisse, Picasso and Modern Art in Paris" (Advertising & Promotions - Print).

In other categories, arts-related Pinnacle winners include: Hillhouse Graphic Design in Kingsport, Tenn., for the 2009 National Storytelling Festival promotional materials; and the City of Bristol Tennessee for Bristol's Busk Stop Central (performers are invited to showcase their talents to bring more visitors to downtown Bristol).
