• JULY 12:HollerHouse and The Axe and Ale HousesponsorArt in Action,a charity street art competition at Axe and Ale House, Bristol, Va. Artists compete on site in a live art competition for a chance to win prizes. Spectators can watch the artists. A panel of artists and professional rate each piece and spectators can pay for a crowd vote. All proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitals. Finished work is displayed for 30 days in the Axe and Ale parking lot creating a street art gallery. After that, artists may retrieve their work or auction it to benefit St. Jude. www.hollerhousebristol.com
