• SEPT. 13:Alternative Darkroom Techniques workshopis held at William King Museum of Art, Abingdon, Va., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.Morgan Fordleads the workshop. Fifth in a six-session series,AlternativeDarkroom Techniquesexplores several non-traditional analog photographic processes. Cameraless photography techniques are explored including cyanotypes, photograms, lumen prints and printing on various surfaces with liquid emulsion are explored. Printing and developing with sustainable processes are included like caffenol, anthotypes and salt fixers. Students who are interested in fine art alternative photography processes are encouraged to apply. All chemical supplies are provided. Students are encouraged to bring different surfaces they would like to print on and any materials they would like to use for cyanotype, photograms and lumen prints.Students do not need to register for the entire series, they can take only the classes that work for them.$108. 276-628-5005, www.williamkingmuseum.org
