March 18, 2013

JOHNSON CITY , TN - "God, My Greatest Love" by local poet Rose Klix was released byJan-Carol Publishing. In 2012, Klix celebrated her 50th anniversary of writing poetry.

"In God, My Greatest Love" Klix excerpts her poems which were religiously inspired. In this book, she offers poems about all God's roles in her life: His interaction with nature, her faith, angels, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, God's people of all ages, and survival. She finishes with a section of her prayers.

Well-known Kentucky author Judith V. Hensley praises the collection stating, "In God, My Greatest Love, Rose Klix uses the familiar to inspire thoughts of God and bring about spiritual reflection of our relationship to Him and to the world around us. Her words paint images on the page that are both challenging and comforting. "In my imperfection, He loves me anyway.'"

Klix loves the Appalachian foothills of Northeast Tennessee where she and her husband retired after more than 20 years of federal employment. Klix was born and reared in the Black Hills of South Dakota and earned her BA in English from Dakota Wesleyan University. She also attended several Writers' Center workshops in Bethesda , Md., and other southern regions. In 2010, she founded the Poetry Society of Tennessee - NE branch. The Poetry Society of Tennessee honored her as a poetry society poet laureate in 2010-11.
