About the Gallery:
A Work of Art has a huge selection of artwork and gifts created by more than 40 local artists including ornaments, postcards, notecards, canvas art, handmade pottery, wall art, graphic art, photographs, paintings, handmade jewelry, ink prints, furniture, wax encaustic art, sculptures, glass bottle decor, stained glass and more.

This cooperative gallery is owned and operated by more than 40 local artists, who reside within two hours driving distance from the gallery. It consists of members with established art careers as well as artist members who have never before shown their work in a gallery setting, resulting in a wide range of artistic mediums and styles.

Current artists are Tricia Blankenship, Ann Campbell, Terri Campbell, Nyela Hand Cohoon, Darla Adair Davis, Joan Dickenson, Danny Dorsey, Jacob Edwards, Ruthie Edwards, Tom Fluke, Gillian Frye, Tyler Glover, Peggy Glover, Hope Hall, Rick Harmon, Virginia Hiss, Willis Jones, David Hollander, Teresa Kath, David Kramer, Mona Kramer, Larry "Skip" Knott, Joy Lawson, Cheryl Livingston, Richard Livingston, Hanna McClain, Dale McKinney, Stephen Moles, Briana Morris, Patti Mullins, Nelly Ostrovsky, Jim Pruner, Michael Ray, Lori Ratliff, Mark Roberts, Lidany Rouse, Ken Simmelink, Kim Snyder, Larry Surber, Alexis Tahini, Larry VerRan, Michael Waddell and Kandee Wallace.

A Work of Art Gallery & Gifts is the exhibiting space of the State Street Artist Cooperative. The members are supporters of the arts and are local artists. A Work of Art Gallery & Gifts is managed and operated by the cooperative membership, and provides a venue for a diverse variety of art sales, art classes, and downtown events.

An artist is always working and available to help you in the gallery when you visit.
