Burlap Nest's winning window
Burlap Nest Creations in downtown Bristol has been voted first place in the window decorating contest. Burlap Nest Creations glitzed up its display windows and became the seventh recipient of the Merry Merchants Window Decorating Competition Award hosted by Believe in Bristol’s Promotions Committee. The merchants were challenged to create a candy cane inspired holiday display, and the winner was decided by judges from the Believe in Bristol Promotions Committee.
“We always look for one that followed the theme with the most creativity, and this year it was a very difficult decision as everyone really decked out their windows in red and white.Burlap Nest’s 'Legend of the Candy Cane' display really took the candy cane theme all the way and caught the eye of our entire committee,” said Emily Champagne, Believe in Bristol associate director.
Additional congratulations go to The Corner for winning second place with a spectacular window painting of Bob Ross and his “happy little candy canes” and to Winslow Savage Millinery’s Candy Cane Lane display with honorable mention for the Merry Merchant Competition.“The creativity and the participation from all of the merchants was outstanding and helped to make downtown festive for the holiday season.”
The prize awarded is a personalized plaque to showcase the win, features in Believe in Bristol’s e-news and social media pages, and, of course, bragging rights! The window display will remain up throughout the rest of the holiday season. Burlap Nest Creations is located at 834 State Street, Bristol, TN 37620.
