Katie Carrico
ABINGDON, VA -- Katherine (Katie) Carrico is the new Director of Public Relations at William King Museum in Abingdon, Va.
Carrico's primary duties are working with all media, as well as the website, Facebook page, Twitter account and radio show. Previously she was Youth Programs Coordinator within the education department at William King, focusing on the VanGogh Outreach Program, Summer Arts Camp and the Student Gallery. She also has experience teaching public school as well as non-profit youth and arts management.
Carrico, who lives in Kingsport, Tenn., holds a double bachelor's degree
in fine art and education with a minor in business administration from the
University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Arts Administration at Savannah College of Art and Design with the assistance of an artistic merit fellowship.
