Kim Davis
Kim Davis has been named the new executive director of the Southwest Virginia Cultural Heritage Foundation, Friends of Southwest Virginia and ‘Round the Mountain.
A native of Bristol, Davis is a marketing and tourism professional with more than 15 years’ experience in nonprofit, communications, event management and marketing arenas.
She served as senior director of marketing and communications at Visit Knoxville before moving back to Bristol to serve as the director of marketing for the Birthplace of Country Music. At BCM, she was responsible for the marketing and communications for the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion and Radio Bristol.
She has a Bachelor of Science in communications and public relations from the University of Tennessee and is pursuing her Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University.As executive director, Kim will lead the Friends of Southwest Virginia team to work with partners throughout the region to help advance community and economic development and tourism initiatives.
